As promised here is the second step of my 10 stage plan to Fix America. In this section I outline, at a high, level my plan to repair the US healthcare system and drive down costs - not inflate them. I am working on a book to detail this plan and while it will not be ready soon I can tell you the statistical evidence is there to substantiate every point I outline in this plan. US Health Care System   As you all know if you have read my background or know me this is my field of expertise. I have studied and worked in US healthcare for over 32 years and while I learn more daily I do know a lot about it .(I have lots of scar tissue to prove it). This is the largest industry in the US and accounts for over 16% of the GDP. At over $2.5 trillion dollars it is a mammoth part of the economy. We are being bombarded with stories about the Mitt Romney tax returns. The left thinks he is hiding something and wants him to disclose 10 years of returns (recently amended to 5 years) so they can dig into them and find ways to make his wealth an issue in this election. While it appears all is fair game in politics I think the American people would prefer to hear about who is going to fix the economy and get jobs back on track. That said all the debate about tax returns made me start thinking and now I have some questions. Mitt Romney paid over 13% in taxes in his 2010 return and claims that is the case for all years. His 2011 return will be out in September and we will see what that year yielded. Barrack Obama paid 20% in his latest tax filing according to public records. All this got me thinking. I made less money than both of them in 2011 and I paid about 44% in taxes. Is there a problem here? How can they both pay so little on large sums of income and I, a poor working

A Ten Part Series on How We Can Fix America For the last 5 months I have had more time on my hands than ever in my entire career and I have used that time to think about this great country of ours. As I have pondered where it has been but more importantly where I think it is going, I was saddened. Rather than wallow in sadness I decided to explore how we might Fix America. While I was not born here I adopted America as my home at the ripe age of 17 (due to dual citizenship) and became a citizen. I saw America provide a home for my family when they had to flee our country with many others in 1977. I have watched with awe how so many from around the world have made America their home and have fulfilled the American Dream. I think we are seeing a sharp decline in this great country and I hope that through my opinions, thoughts and research we can spark a national debate that will lead to a recovery of this great land that I love. I recognize that there is no easy solution to
