Over the years I have delivered hundreds of speeches all over the country but I have never had a blog.

Today that changes. I am offically launching my blog. This is a persoanl blog not related in anyway to any of my businesses or any companies I am associated with. The views expressed here are mine and mine alone.

As with my speeches I expect that my blog will be contraversial and may from time to time annoy or upset some folks. I apologize in advance and I hope those offended can get over it.

I welcome/encourage comments as I believe healthy debate is what makes this country strong. Enjoy!

A Better Medicare for All

The Democrats are spending a great deal of time promoting Medicare for All. There are now nine separate Medicare for All plans that are being considered. I have shared some information about those in a previous post and will update with more details as they emerge from the legislative process. When I look at this it seems so apparent that there is a much better way of doing what I think we all want. Since the politicians are completely polarized and entrenched in their camps it is unlikely that we will see a healthcare solution that is actually in the best interest of the American people. The COVID debacle

Well its been a long time since I posted anything. Just been too busy with work. COVID 19 is here and I am so sad and disappointed about what the world has done. I have learned a massive lesson and not a good one. Actually we should all be very concerned about what has happened and I don't mean just the virus. So few disclaimers so I can avoid hate mail. I am deeply concerned about death - any single death. A Variety of Topics

It has been over a week since I posted anything and a great deal has happened. So I will try to catch up with a series of posts in the next few days. For today here are a few the big issues: Gay Marriage Yesterday and today the Supreme Court heard oral arguments for about 80 minutes on two cases -Prop 8 from California and DOMA - the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996. Being a Cali resident (for now) I know a bit about Prop 8. The citizens passed it denouncing gay marriage then an Appellate Court over turned it. Now it is in front of the Supremes. This is such a tough issue. The current polls say Americans for the most part now approve of gay marriage by a slim margin (49% to 46%). Three years ago the numbers were very different with about 63% against gay marriage. So what has changed? I think a number of things.
